Jacek Dziubiński

Jacek Dziubiński is a Polish visual artist who works with paintings, collages, and sculptures. His practice also includes site-specific installations—which often incorporate typographic elements—and limited-edition prints. Jacek focuses primarily on abstract works that can be described as minimalist and concrete. He creates various self-contained series of works. Currently, “Exercises in Space” and “Functional Forms” are particularly important to him. Both series thoroughly explore the concept of space and the rules of visual perception. Another important series consists of writing and printing concrete poetry. The main sources of inspiration for Jacek’s art include the Japanese principle of wabi-sabi and Buddhist philosophy. Aesthetically, he is strongly influenced by the 20th-century avant-garde, concrete and minimalist art movements, as well as modernism and functionalism in architecture (Bauhaus, etc.).
