Paul Farrell

Paul Farrell works as an illustrator, graphic artist, and designer. His style is characterized by bold, graphic use of color and form, as well as his interest in the history of graphic art. Before becoming a printmaker, Paul worked for 20 years as a graphic designer in London. He is also the author of Great Britain in Color, published by PanMacmillan, London, in 2016. Paul creates his designs in his studio in Newport, Wales, which also serves as his printmaking workshop. The color and form of his artwork are influenced by the 1960s and 1970s, when a primary color palette prevailed, simple decorative design dominated, and packaging and advertising reflected the style and boldness of past decades. He is represented by art galleries and retailers throughout the British Isles and overseas, including the Conran Shop in London and Paul Smith in New York.
