Ry C. Brown
Ry C. Brown studied photography and cultural theory at the University of Westminster in the UK and, after graduating, resumed his work in the field of illustration. Since moving to Berlin, he has focused on creating prints. In his work, Ry C. Brown primarily explores themes related to artifactuality, subjectivity, group dynamics, and discontinuity—concepts that underlie processes such as identity formation and the perception of reality. Ry C. draws his inspiration primarily from modernist and spiritual traditions within abstract art, psychoanalytic theory, and ideas from microbiology and neurolinguistics. His goal is to transform complex ideas into lyrical and meditative visual artworks that offer a symbolic and associative approach to the underlying thematic complexes.
